To provide managerial support with the day-to-day running of the Quality
Department in the areas of Quality.

To ensure all the Group’s Quality Management Systems are managed,
monitored, developed and maintained to ensure all branches in the Group operate
to the highest possible quality standards. This will include strategic decision
making to improve upon existing policies and procedures and implement change /
new policies as necessary.

This is a key role within the business, providing essential management
in the areas of Quality and to help foster a culture of continuous improvement
to assist the business in attaining the highest level of customer satisfaction.


1. Quality and Environmental Management General

  • Responsibility for Group documented
    QMS systems and maintain certification to ISO EN 9001

  • Ensure compliance with current
    legislation and best practice, ensuring that any new legislative changes are
    brought to the attention of the executive management in a timely manner for
    appropriate action

  • Carry out monthly and annual Internal
    audits, both site and office based

  • Manage / assist with External Audits
    as and when necessary

  • Ensure KPI’s are set and standards

  • Develop excellent business relations
    with customers and suppliers to adopt/encourage best practice

  • Ensure consistency of quality
    standards across all branches

  • Ensure relevant quality training
    programmes are delivered to all staff as appropriate

  • Attend / chair annual and monthly
    review meetings

    2. Quality Management

    Overall responsibility for the Quality Management Systems and
    certification for Manufacturing Plant. In addition to Key Tasks mentioned in 1.
    above, this will include but not be limited to the following:

  • Ensuring that processes needed for
    the Quality Management Systems are established, implemented and maintained

  • Performance management of Quality
    systems and regular reporting to Senior Management as appropriate

  • Maintain systems which promote
    awareness of customer requirements throughout the organisation

  • Assist with all customer care

  • Liaise with all relevant parties both
    internal and external on all matters relating to the Quality Management System


  • Bachelor’s Degree in Quality
    Management as a minimum.

  • Minimum of 7 years Quality Managerial
    experience within Manufacturing environment

  • Minimum of 5-10 years Manufacturing

  • Additional Courses in SPC, Six Sigma,
    Auditing, etc. would be an advantage

  • SAP R/3 knowledge and experience
    (Quality Module)

  • Minimum five years’ experience of
    working in Quality Management Systems

  • Extensive knowledge of ISO 9001
    standards, FSSC 22000 Food Safety System
