DIRECTORATE Transport for Cape Town – DEPARTMENT
Planning -Develop and manage a full System Plan, in particular the IPTN within
the prescribed technical and quality requirements, sustainable
integrated transport vision, financial sustainability, timeframes and
funding allocations
– Integrate strategic plans, product system plan, design system
structures, build transport models projecting passenger demand and
quantify system supply as well as vehicle frequencies and costs, and
participate in delivering an efficient and effective transport service
to customers
– Assess applications for operating licences in terms of the CITP and
specifically the IPTN, inclusive of systems modelling, design and
research/surveys for the management of the network as well as the
tariff structure for scheduled public transport

Candidate Requirements
A postgraduate Engineering qualification, specialising in Transportation Engineering or Transport Planning, Public Transport or Systems Planning – A minimum of 5 years� relevant experience in transportation engineering and planning projects – The ability to manage multidisciplinary project teams
