Administrative & Cost Accountant – Hout Bay

Salary: between R15K CTC

Job Purpose

Support
the Administrative Supervisor in financial and administrative duties and ensure
this system run smoothly. Fill-in as acting supervisor when Supervisor is not
in office or when instructed to do so.

Key
responsibilities include but are not limited to
:

Office Administration

·
Process Weekly timesheets by
capturing hours clocked and over-time.

·
Loading wages/salaries on a
weekly/monthly basis on Register or applicable system.

Stock Control

·
Process stock counts, conduct
stock counts and stock adjustments.

·
Control of inventory and related
financial controls.

·
Conduct variance analysis and
generate finalised reports.

Procurement

·
Ensure purchasing process follows
SOP of procurement and conduct audits.

·
Ensure that all goods received are
loaded onto Syspro.

·
Complete requisitions and raise
purchase orders for office and production consumables etc.

·
Analyse price variances and
conduct cost benefit analysis.

·
Matching of invoices &
delivery notes with p/orders.

·
Receiving of goods.

Operations

·
Plan and conduct stock counts as
required.

·
Loading of export & local jobs
on Syspro.

·
Daily loading of pink landing
slips on Syspro.

·
Raise bait sales orders & do
the invoicing as required.

·
Analyse production sheets, payroll
and production costs and schedules.

·
Analyse and report monthly and
weekly production output and variances.

·
Capture production on the Syspro
i.e. whole raw, cooked & tailing.

·
Complete and submit daily
production reports for Operations Manager.

·
Accurately capture and maintain
production, permit, export and landing’s data.

·
Plan export volumes and recommend
alternatives.

·
Generate accurate daily SOH, stock
movement and sales reports etc.

Manage OSQH records, payments and communication.

·
Ensure OSQH administration and
reporting is completed as required.

·
Report to the Operations Manager
variances and changes.

·
Develop and maintain tools to
manage OSQH records.

·
Prepare and submit monthly reports
to MCM and ensure statutory compliance.

·
Ensure permits are applied for and
collected.

·
Ensure proper and up to date
record keeping in order, to prevent over-catch.

·
Ensure quota allocations are
recorded and up to date in accordance to MCM reports/requirements.

·
Ensure OSQH payments are done as
per agreed terms and contracts.

·
Liaise with OSQH w.r.t., landings,
production and other administrative issues.

·
Maintain good communication and
working relationship with OSQH.

Qualifications and Experienced

·
An
appropriate accounting degree and a minimum of two years’ experience.

·
Working
knowledge of an accounting package; Syspro would be an advantage.

·
Good
verbal and written communication skills.

·
Intermediate
or advanced Excel skills, Access, overall good MS Office Suite skills.
