Minimum Requirements:

A Degree or National Diploma in Journalism/Public
Relations/Communications.

Skills and Experience:

Five ( 5) years experience in a communications manager position, including media/public relations management; Government or Government Entity experience will be highly advantageous;

Experience in developing and executing communications strategies; Knowledge of
communications technologies, statements and articles; Experience in designing and implementing public relations/media campaigns; Working knowledge of brand management; Experience in managing and maintaining relationships with media houses and key stakeholders; Experience in writing articles, website content and intranet content; Experience in compiling annual reports; Experience in identifying and measuring market perception statistics.

Strategic communication management; Manage media/public relations/events effectively; Manage external communications and branding; manage internal communications; Strategic promotion of SAHRA; Build strong and trustworthy relationships with policy makers and influencers to shape the environment and enhance the reputation of the SAHRA within the industry; Manage resources (people and budget); Stakeholder relations, media management and publications; Manage printed and digital publications of SAHRA; Financial management of the Unit.
