Cross border Project Accountant

Established Manufacturing Concern is currently seeking to employ a Project Account who will provide support to the Financial Manager and apply strict adherence to Financial and Cost control policies and procedures.

Qualifying criteria:

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Accounting (articles completed)
  • 3 years working experience post articles preferably within a Construction / Project Management environment
  • Must have experience in CROSS BORDER PROJECT ACCOUNTING – Essential
  • Experience working with international forex and different currencies
  • Experience in International / Cross border projects – highly advantageous
  • Experience in an environment with multiple legal entities
  • SAP working experience
  • French speaking – advantage

Duties & responsibilities will include:

  • Financial control & administration of all projects
  • Weekly capturing of bank transactions
  • Customer invoicing
  • Supplier invoicing & recons
  • Analysing prior month’s recharges to split between projects & overheads
  • EFT payments confirm all documentation are attached & authorised signatures on EFT request
  • VAT Submissions
  • Weekly submission of bank balances
  • Monthly cash Request form Belgium
  • Audit preparation
  • Annual Financial Statements- Assist in preparing notes
  • Annual Financial Statements- Assist in preparing notes
  • Communication with and follow-up of local accounting offices
  • Cash flow forecast and follow-up (preparation of supplier payments, follow-up of cash flow receipts etc.)
  • Monthly group reporting
  • Fixed cost monitoring
  • Business Analysis
  • Extraction of data and analysis thereto for the purposes of consolidating information and interpretation and action by Financial Manager in line with agreed and communicated deadlines
