R20 000 CTC pm
A multinational contract company is in need of an Employee Relations Consultant to join their successful team.
Minimum Requirements and knowledge skills:
Ø Matric
Ø Relevant Employee Relations qualification
Ø 3-5 years Employee Relations and Administration experience
Ø Knowledge of Basic Conditions of Employment Act
Ø Strong Union experience
Ø Other Collective Agreements per Industry Legislation
Ø Labour Relations Act
Ø Pension, Provident and Retirement funds
Ø Medical Aid fund
Ø Other company benefits funds
Job Overview:
The successful applicant will be responsible for, among others, the following functions:
· Providing Industrial Relations advice to all employees in accordance with the Labour Relations Act and the relevant Codes of Good Practice
· Ensuring correct documentation utilised by employees when dealing with any Industrial Relations matter
- Developing sound relationships with trade unions that have members within the company
- Attending to Conciliations, Con/Arbs and Arbitrations at the Commission for Conciliation, Mediation and Arbitration
- Attending to work stoppages and strikes and ensuring compliance by the company to the Labour Relations Act
- Communicating the Policies and Procedures to group companies for implementation
- Advising and assisting the companies on the content, relevance, exemptions and disputes in respect of Sectoral Determinations and various Main Agreements
- Liaising with external colleagues, consultants and labour lawyers on relevant issues
- Ensuring company Industrial Relations policies and procedures and practices remain in line with developments in the labour law field
- Consulting with clients of companies with regard to industrial relations issues relevant to specific contracts as well as advice regarding Section 197 transfers
- Assist in conducting the necessary training, alternatively arranging specialists in the field to run training courses for company management
- Ensuring thorough consultation with managers that appropriate industrial relations structures, administrative systems and industrial relations skills and knowledge exist
