EVENTS &
LOGISTICS ADMIN ASSISTANT

Applications are invited from interested persons,
who meet the minimum requirements, to fill the above-mentioned position at the Western
Cape Office. Please note that this is a contract position. This is an internal
and external position.

POSITION PURPOSE

To provide
efficient and effective assistance to the travel and events coordinator.

KEY OUTPUTS

  1. Travel Arrangements

·
Sources and books accommodation on instruction from
travel and events coordinator

·
Create a data-base of
accommodation options per province

·
Build good relationship
with service providers

·
Book transport on
instruction from the travel and events coordinator

·
Capture travel expenses
on excel data-base

·
Prepare payments for
finance department

  1. Ad hoc Reception Duties

·
Operates switchboard

·
Relays telephonic
messages to staff via phone or e‑mail

·
Receives visitors and directs them to appropriate
departments or individuals

·
Assist with the hosting of NACCW guests

·
Accepts parcel and/or document deliveries

·
Prepares courier documentation and authorization

COMPETENCIES (SKILLS, KNOWLEDGE AND ATTRIBUTES) REQUIRED

·
Matric

·
1 year administrative
experience

·
Ability to work
independently in a high-pressured environment in order to deliver under tight deadlines

·
Multitasking and working at
a fast pace environment

·
Pays careful attention to
detail

·
Must be fluent in two of
the following languages: English, Tswana, Venda or Sotho
