Introduction : AA21453 – A new concept restaurant of an existing brand to open in the Waterfront in Cape Town seeks an Executive Chef with the following qualifications: Culinary qualification from a reputable institution. Minimum of 3 years’ experience working as an Executive Chef for a reputable organisation. Duties will include: Ensure that the operation of the kitchens is carried out smoothly, achieving maximum standard of food quality and satisfaction. Take full responsibility for the running of the kitchen and all food produced on site. Has a lead by example mind set and strong abilities as staff development and up-skilling is key. Ensure stock availability (daily and seasonally) at all times. Timeous production of quality food at optimal cost under hygienic conditions. Menu planning and food cost. Daily management of kitchen staff. Organise effective flow of production and kitchen processes. Be creative and able to problem solve. The candidate must have the following skills: A new concept restaurant of an existing brand is looking to employ an Executive Chef. This position requires an organised, skilled person that will be responsible for food production/ management and quality management of all kitchens on site. This contract is logistically challenging and would require good organisational and communication skills. Ability to Work Long Hours as the new business requires.
