Introduction : Description: Lesotho – Exclusive 5* Lodge(www.maliba-lodge.com) located in a pristine national park which has different standard accommodation for upto 60 guests seeks suitably qualified and experienced lodge management couple/individual to oversee and co-ordinate all Lodge Operations. Duties include the co-ordination of all departments and related delegation of duties to ensure optimal lodge service at all times. The successful candidates will ensure that ongoing communication is achieved between all departments to ensure a seamless daily operation of the lodge. We require a mentor and leader to take our staff of over 50 to the next level in service excellence. Suitable candidates will have to be able to cover all aspects of lodge management from admin & financial reporting, staffing and catering .We follow a ‘manage it like you own it’ approach. Must be able to work with local staff & a remote location. The main focus will be the overall guest’s experience, where the successful applicant will be responsible for supervising all guest interactions, activity arrangements, and further developing our guest delight policy to spoil and pamper all guests and make their stay memorable Skills- The candidates should demonstrate the following: Be friendly, motivated and mature in character. Have an eye for detail, be very well organised, fully computer literate and have excellent financial &administrative skills. Must have a pleasant personality, be excellent with guests and show initiative. Must be strong in project management and knowledge of building and maintenance an advantage and be able to work independently and communicate well. Duties Include: Reporting directly to the Directors and General Manager including monthly ,financials,reports and budget planning,staff welfare and human resources,training,auditing and monitoring all departments. Qualifications & Requirements: Must have Grade 12 with a formal Hospitality Degree/Diploma; Must have at least 3 years relevant experience as an Operations Manager in a 4/5 star Lodge / HotelExperience in managing an upmarket lodge in a remote location would be beneficialComputer Literacy and familiar with MS Office and Email etiquetteA valid PassportDrivers LicenceA min 2-3 year commitment is requiredThis position could also be suited for a single personPlease provide a picture and references with your job application.
