Introduction : Kendrick Recruitment is now looking for an experienced Sous Chef for a 5* Wine Estate close to Stellenbosch in the Western Capes stunning wine lands. This secluded estate offers its guests a beautiful lodge and spa enclosed by its own private vineyard and the views look out on to an idyllic mountainous setting.We are ideally looking for a Sous Chef with experience working within a small boutique 5* hotel, lodge or restaurant. A candidate that has Fine Dining cuisine experience will be essential and a keen eye for detail and new culinary trends will be favoured. The candidate must have experience in the following:Formal culinary qualification3 years experience working in a 5* kitchen in a similar position or as a Junior Sous Basic knowledge of the other stations in the kitchen, such a hot kitchenInternational experience will be favoured however not essentialAssertiveness, a cool head and exceptional organisational skills is a mustA passion for chefing and kitchen related activities with a keen attention to detailExcellent communication skillsRelevant and formal culinary qualifications from a recognised establishmentAll relevant kitchen related qualifications – knowledge of kitchen safety procedures and all firefighting exercises, First Aid, Health and Hygiene.Handover proceduresPortion controlSalary – R15,000.If you feel this is the position for you then apply today!!
