IT Assembly Technician

The Assembly Technician is responsible for the assembly, programming, building, setting up, installation and maintenance of all products.

Minimum requirements:
Grade 12 or equivalent certificate essential
2 years’ experience in a similar position
Experience in a production/manufacturing environment
Valid driver’s license and own reliable transport

Attention to detail with focus on quality assurance
Ability to multi-task and work in a deadline-driven environment
Adaptable to change and ability to use own initiative
Strong communication skills (verbal and written)
Good interpersonal skills

Responsibility:
Product assembly:
To ensure all products are assembled correctly on a daily basis—this refers to the screens, PCs, electronic components as well as all the other components.

Product testing:
To ensure all products are tested effectively on a daily basis—this refers to the screens, PCs, electronic components as well as any other various components.

Product repair and maintenance:
To ensure all products are repaired and maintained on a daily basis—this refers to the screens, PCs, electronic components as well as any other components.

Administrative duties:
To ensure all administrative duties allocated by the Team Leader are carried out in a timely manner and on a daily basis.
To ensure when stock is pulled it is immediately noted in the stock book.
Dispatching—ensure all items dispatched are logged in the delivery book each day.

Ad hoc duties:
This refers to all duties which will be operationally required which can include, but is not limited to, the following tasks:
Deliveries/collections.
Machine operations (training will be provided).
