Requirements
– Minimum N3 Engineering and Trade Certifi cate in Fitting or Fitting
and Turning
– A minimum of 5 years# relevant supervisory experience in a related
field
– Knowledge of, or exposure to water treatment plants
– Computer literacy and SAP Production (ISO 9001:2008)
– A valid driver#s license.
Key Performance Areas
– Ensure the effective management of mechanical maintenance
activities within the responsible plant section
– Propose maintenance strategies to the District Maintenance
Managers or Workshop Manager to improve reliability of assets
– Ensure that maintenance plans are carried out on scheduled
frequency, to preserve the inherent ability of the assets
– Continuous liaison with external contractors in terms of outsourced
jobs such as upgrades of equipment or overhauls
– Supervise and manage maintenance team work output and
performance
– Provide regular progress reports about completed maintenance
repairs, including fi nancial performance to the Line Manager
– Assist with artisans# training and skills transfer.
