The Queen Victoria Hotel is seeking to fill the position of a SOUS CHEF in the Kitchen. The successful applicant will require the following attributes:

 

Run weekly training sessions

–          Manage a high preforming culture with fair & consistent discipline

–          Give regular feedback to chef regarding performance of team for quarterly performance reviews

–          Ensure all communications by the way kitchen & restaurant are clear & effective

–          Report any maintenance or other kitchen related issues to be addressed to Executive Chef immediately

–          Mange workflow in kitchen to ensure an equal workload allocation & quick response time

–          Checks each dish that leaves kitchen for quality, quantity, presentation & temperature

–          Keep abreast of food trends & constantly seek ways of broaden own knowledge.

Applicant should be enthusiastic with a high energy level, and a cohesive team leader with a keen attention to detail. Requirements for application include matriculation, knowledge of management procedure, and experience in a similar position in a 4 or 5 star environment.
