A Law Firm is looking for an Energetic, Self-motivated Paralegal/Conveyance Secretary, to come in & assist the Director in the Coveyancing Department. Must be able to work alone and within a team. This person should be someone who is willing to ‘put in extra’ to succeed to meet monthly collection targets.

Minimum requirements:

·         Communication skills – verbal and written /bi-lingual

·         Contactable references 

·         MUST have Grade 12

·         1 – 2 years’ experience in a paralegal role

·         Any Legal Software knowledge (Ghost Convey,Ghost Practice, legal suite etc.) and Legal secretarial background (drafting letters, etc.) would be an added advantage

·         Must be able to cover Full Conveyance function

·         Computer literate – Microsoft Word, Excel, and Outlook experience highly essential!

·         Full Day position-8:30-5pm/ Fridays -8:30-4:30pm

·         Sound communication skills

Duties may include

·         Maintaining Transfer and Estate Late Matters on legal software package(Ghost Practice)

·         drafting & checking contracts & maintaining clients  

·         Follow up on Client payments

·         assisting company secretarial issues in collaboration  with a senior

·         Reconciliation of client statement and L&D accounts

·         Preparing weekly/monthly query lists and updates

·         Timeous and accurate preparation of client statements and reconciliation

·         File all documents correctly
