What we are looking for:
We are looking for a skilled pastry chef/baker to manage our Mixing & Scaling department.
We are a manufacturer for handmade cookies, Rusk and savory snacks for a well-known upmarket supermarket chain.
We are looking for a person with strong leadership, management skills and passion for pastry that is able to manage a team of 3 supervisors and about 20 regular staff
The person is responsible to ensure that staff are trained to mix and scale dough’s correctly and have them ready available for the production department when needed.
The ideal candidate has min. 3 years’ experience in pastry/bakery, understands how puff pastry, rusk & cookie dough’s are mixed correctly and has previous experience as CDP managing a team.
We offer 7000-8000 Rand per month depending on experience. The normal working hours are from 6:00 until 15:00 with every Sunday and public holiday off.
Saturday work or different working hours might be required from time to time.
To work over time is also required from time to time, but extra worked hours can be taken at a later stage.
