Regional Credit Manager – Woodstock Area / CAPE TOWN

Department: Finance

Well established national manufacturing and distribution company is looking to employee a Regional Credit Manager to join their team

Qualifications:

Bachelor’s Degree or Credit Management Diploma
3+ years of credit management experience
Have thorough knowledge of credit-related laws
Be willing to periodically travel to customer sites and other branches
Key Performance Areas:

Effective utilisation, management and control of resources (Staff and IT systems)
Properly motivate the collections staff
Measure the department performance with appropriate metrics
Provide, identify and training of credit staff
Play a key role as the go-between the business and the IT department in terms of identifying and clarify specifications for automation in the credit space
Implement and sustain effective credit management systems and controls
Internal Audit Control
Be accountable for the credit approval, granting and updating process
Consistent application and review of credit policy
Analytical mind with ability to problem solve
The assessment of the creditworthiness of potential customers, with the goal optimizing the mix of company sales and bad debt losses
Computer Literacy:

Axapta or other ERP systems
Microsoft Office (Excel & Word – Advanced)
A good understanding of a fully integrated ERP system
The successful candidate will be a person with a highly commercial approach and strong understanding of internal controls, pro-active, flexible and attentive. The candidate must demonstrate leadership skills, be dynamic, assertive, give attention to detail, a team player and must be self – motivated.
