Job Purpose
To contribute to the achievement of the Commercial Department’s objectives of increasing the Company’s market share by generating new sales accounts and to ensure that existing accounts are serviced, maximised and maintained throughout.
Qualifications
Must be in possession of a Grade 12 Certificate
A Sales qualification would be advantageous
Experience Required
A minimum of 5 years relevant practical sales experience gained within a Paint Retail environment. The Business Consultant will be responsible for the following:
Account management, development and profitability
Preparation and achievement of area sales budget by measurable action plans
Preparation and achievement of sales volume, pricing, value and net profit targets
Stock and Turnover Forecast accuracy
Responsible for in store point of sale and ad hoc displays
Develop functional excellence in sales via effective account development
Provide regular consolidated feedback of customer survey and pricing reports
Develop Customer relationship in Retail segment
Effective execution of all approved channel and brand plans
Maintenance and achievement of profitability and pricing structures by channel and account
Measuring of action plans vs. budget
Provide advice, training, presentations and development to key customers
Feedback of market intelligence data and ideas to management
Category Management
Technical support
Customer management and development including debtor query management
Maintenance and achievement of profitability and pricing structures by channel and account
New Business Development
Key Account rollout and development
Mentor and coaching of junior team members
Competencies required
Strong negotiating skills
Knowledge of MS Office computer packages, SAP experience would be advantageous
Ability to build strong professional relationships with new and current customer base
Excellent communication and presentation skills linked to high customer service standards.
