About the role:
The Senior Technology Services Consultant is the glue
between the technical infrastructure, equipment and services, staff and
clients. This incumbent must have great interpersonal skills and emotional
quotient. The ability to analyze and troubleshoot is important but more
importantly, the ability to do so in a collaborative effort with the Technology
Services team is crucial.
Grade 12 and 3-year IT degree or equivalent
MCSE 2012; VMWARE Certified Professional; ITIL V3
Certified; SharePoint Certified ideal; MS Exchange ideal.
3 years’ experience in the following:
ITIL service life cycle processes and operations.
Tier 3 escalation point and mentor to more junior
Most mobile devices (Andriod and IOS) operating systems
MS Active Directory 2012 or 2016,
MS Exchange 2016 on premise and Exchange online.
VMWARE Data centers (minimum 6 hosts) through VCenter
Storage devices (SAN, DAS & NAS devices).
NetBackup or VEEAM backup systems.
Antivirus Management and risk administration.
Windows 10 Operating System.
MS Office 2013 Pro Plus and Office 365.
Network troubleshooting, including TCPIP, Route and
SQL server 2012 / 2014.
Providing end-user (2nd – 3rd level) assistance and
escalation point for the Junior Consultants
Providing server support and maintenance, connectivity,
prioritisation of services, configuration of systems policies / processes and
Identification of services-abuse and escalation thereof
Pre-emptive / proactive maintenance and the scheduling,
designing and monitoring thereof;
Provide server and application administration and support
Active Directory, Exchange online, SharePoint,
Federeation Services, TMS, Backups (Netbackup, VEEAM & Druva), Procurement
procedures, vendor management, infrastructure support and maintenance. o
