Job Purpose

To manage, organise, control and plan the activities of the Estates Department.

Job Responsibilities

Ensure transformational targets are met. Contribute to a culture of transformation by participating in Nedbank culture building initiatives, business strategy, and CSI. Stay abreast of developments in field of expertise, ensuring personal and professional growth. Participate in the development and implement action plans to address issues raised in culture surveys. Create a client service culture. Achieve operational excellence. Encourage team to generate innovative ideas and share knowledge to add value to the business. Manage and monitor the �deadwood� in the team by ensuring the they are under target. Monitor estates to ensure they are closed within the target period. Monitor action targets for estates to ensure agreed actions are completed, if they are not achieved address why. Manage the complaints and compliments register. Manage the overdue liquidation and distribution accounts. Manage performance of staff by implementing performance agreements and ensuring a clear vision. Mentor and coach staff on identified performance gaps. Tailor development needs as identified to ensure that Business Unit stays abreast in field of expertise and deliver on the expectations from stakeholders. Create environment of teamwork, encouraging participation in decision making processes. Identify talent pool through career conversations and using the talent grid principles and develop talent retention. Embrace the Nedbank vision and values by leading by example. Manage the onboarding process of new employees. Prepare an annual action plan in support of the roll-out budget to achieve the business strategy aligned to the estates strategy and ensure implementation of the action plan across a team of estates. Prepare and execute a marketing plan in support of the business strategy across a team of estates. Measure delivery and performance against the annual budget and take action where necessary. Distribute the budget against the team based on the portfolio and track and monitor their delivery against targets. Implement plans and projections to achieve budget. Closely monitor and address shortcomings with individuals. Monitor and manage office errors to keep them within an acceptable level and monitoring cost impact. Track and monitor internal audit findings and ensure appropriate action is taken. Ensure the implementation of governance and compliance standards and adherence to best practice. Manage team risk.

  • Matric / Grade 12 / National Senior Certificate
  • Advanced Diplomas/National 1st Degrees
