Job Vacancy – Graphic Designer – City Centre, Cape Town

My client, a Fitness Centre, based in Cape Town seeks to employ a Graphic Designer for their club.

The successful incumbent will be stationed in Cape Town, but work is for both branches (Cape Town and Johannesburg).

Skill set:

• Photoshop
• Illustrator
• WordPress
• Microsoft Office

Responsibilities:

Print design

• Brochures, posters, flyers, vouchers and other promotional material
• Front desk customer documents and forms
• Banners and outdoor media
• Gym and shop signage

Online design

• Website updates and improvements
• Social media pages posts and events
• Web banners
• Newsletter images and compilation

Advertising

• Photos
• Advertisement layouts for third-party placement

MCSA and third parties

• Posters
• Adhoc work

Job Requirements:

• Experience in a similar role
• Portfolio of evidence to illustrate design styles / experience
• Adobe Suite CS6 (InDesign, Photoshop, Illustrator, Acrobat, Dreamweaver etc.)
• Microsoft Word, Excel and PowerPoint
• WordPress and html knowledge
• Able to work on multiple projects at the same time
• Be solutions oriented
• Excellent self-management and communication skills
• A good understanding of design basics and the design process
• A good understanding of layout and composition
• A good understanding of print

Qualification:

Degree / diploma (or similar qualification) in graphic design.

Salary package:

Negotiable, depending on experience
