Post Basic Pharmacist Assistant

Job Purpose

Responsible for providing pharmaceutical care services (within scope of practice) and performing day-to-day dispensary administration.

Job Objectives:

• High standards of customer service and care
• Efficient stock control and administration, including repacking of medicine
• Efficient dispensary administration
• Accurate compounding
• Provision of general health advice
• High standards of housekeeping and merchandise display

Job Requirements

Qualifications and Experience:

• Matric with Maths (Essential)
• Minimum requirements of the Health Professions Council of South Africa for the various levels as a Pharmacist Assistant (Qualified, Post Basic)
• Skills, Abilities and Job Related Knowledge:
• Product knowledge (Health isle and OTC)
• SAPC and relevant legal knowledge
